MYAGDI, Sept 27: A 13-kilometer road section from Jomsom to Kagbeni under the national pride project, Kaligandaki Corridor, has been blacktopped. The road section has been widened to 11 meters.
A contract was signed to blacktop the Jomsom-Kagbeni section at a cost of Rs 281.4 million. Information Officer of Beni-Jomsom-Korala Road Project, Bishnu Chapagain, said the blacktopping task has been completed and activities related to road furniture have reached the final phase.
53- kilometer stretch of Mugling-Pokhara road blacktopped
Of the 110-kilometer from Jomsom to Korala check point, a 75-kilometer road section has been expanded and graveled. Ninety-two percent of construction along the 25-kilometer Charang-Chhoser section has been completed.
Project Chief Dhruba Kumar Jha shared that the road from Jomsom to Korala would be graveled after completion of the upgrading task of the Charang-Chhoser section.
