Joint meeting of the Federal Parliament underway (Live)

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: The joint meeting of the Federal Parliament is underway. President Bishya Devi Bhandari is will address the joint session of the parliament at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwar.

Regarding the President's speech, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will table separate proposals in the House of Representatives and the National Assembly. After that, both Houses will pass the motion of thanks, according to Dasharath Dhamala, Assistant Spokesperson of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

President Bhandari is addressing the joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament today in accordance with the Article 95 of the Constitution of Nepal. Article 95 of the Constitution states that the President may address a meeting of any House of the Federal Parliament or a joint meeting of both Houses and call for the presence of members for that purpose.
