BIRATNAGAR, Sept 24: Jhapa witnessed one more coronavirus-related death on Thursday.
The throat swab sample of a 77-year-old man from Jhapa, who died on Wednesday night at his residence, tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday morning. He was suffering from respiratory problems as well.
Jhapa sees yet another COVID-19 death
A team of Nepal Army personnel disposed of his dead body in a local Rani Community Forest area in Jhapa, according to Laxman Biswakarma, the chief of Health Division of Jhapa Rural Municipality.
The son of the septuagenarian had tested positive for COVID-19 last week. He had come to meet his ailing father two weeks ago from Kathmandu. After meeting his son, the elderly gradually developed fever and common cold.
