SANKHUWASABHA, Jan 13: Five people have been killed in a jeep accident on Sunday afternoon in the district.
The jeep heading to Barun Mela for Maghe Sankranti met with the accident in Gadi Bazar of Makalu Rural Municipality.

Police have identified the name of Khadga Katuwal and Suresh Rai among the deceased. Katuwal is the chairperson of Makalu Rural Municipality. He was elected to the post from CPN-UML.
The identification of three killed in the accident is yet unknown. Police have started the investigation.
