KATHMANDU, Nov 4: After enticing the crowd for six-days with beautifully orchestrated soul-searching jazz melodies, the Surya Nepal Jazzmandu finally concluded here on Wednesday. The Kathamndu Jazz Conservatory Faculty Trio, with Mahesh Tandukar on guitars, Ian Eustis on double-bass and Kismat E Shrestha on drums made the perfect start as the event unfolded. Though the audience seemed just warming up and non-responsive for a while, the group did raise their enthusiasm as the performance progressed.

Music lovers buzzed around the best positions near the fires on the garden as Alukomarai took to the stage. The sounds from the versatile band truly mesmerized the audience.  Then came BUG firing. The group from the USA played some quick-paced jazz raising the spirit of the mass.

This was followed by the Cadenza collective, playing some afro-beats that left the audience swaying with the music.

The much-appreciated and celebrated drummer Ari Hoenig, finally took the stage taking the audience captive with his band. Raising the notch up to another level, Hoenig showcased some eccentric drumming.

The jazz-fiesta finally ended with various participants of the event coming together on-stage and jamming.
