Starting the three-hour jazz fiesta was the nine-member Kathamndu Jazz Conservatory big band. Their catchy tunes set the mood for a fine orchestral afternoon.
Seconding them, the 14-member Woodstock school jazz band mesmerized the audiences with their fine, clear pieces. Their culturally versatile band played five pieces in total and performed like pros.
Then arrived some smooth pieces by bands BUG and Alukomarai. Both the bands had enthralled audiences at the Gokarnaa Jazz Bazaar on Saturday and didn’t disappoint audiences this time.

Today, the KJC will again resonate with music by BUG, followed by a workshop at 4:30 to 5:30 PM. November 2, Tuesday, the educational series will continue with special master class with the headline ‘Ari Hoenig’, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
“Most of my musician friends know about Jazzmandu, but I would certainly encourage them to be a part of it as it is greatly beneficial for the young aspiring musicians,” shares one of the participants, Sarthak Upadhya.
The participating musicians entertain queries and share invaluable suggestions. The music education at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory is free and open to the public.
