The chilly winds did not deter jazz-lovers to come out and show their love and appreciation for the music. Sitting on carpets on the grassy lawn of the resort, the gathered audience swayed to the tunes and savored every moment of the event.[break]
The eighth edition of Jazzmandu was started by Gandharva, the band from the home country itself, Nepal. Following them were Saksri Pang quartet who mesmerized the crowd with their versatile tunes. They were then followed by the Prabhal Dhakal trio and Alukomari.

The event took everyone by spell when BUG took to the stage. The band was exceptionally good and vibrant. Sustaining the energy was Kutumba. The ensemble was simply superb as their fifth album ‘Utsarga’ got released.
The evening followed by simakDialog who played clean, soulful music with an Indonesian flavor. The Adrian d’Souza group came after them and was
simply ballistic with their performance, raising the tempo up a notch.

Ari Hoeing, the highly rated drummer, followed the jazz team from India and didn’t disappoint the awaiting crowd.
The home-boys Cadenza Collective finally entered the fray and produced a show to wow the crowd. Finally the concert was ended with a jam by various artists.
International Jazz Day being celebrated today
