Japanese support for Judo

KATHMANDU, Feb 18: A 15-member Japanese team led by Matsumoto Airport Rotary Club´s President Shoyu Tachibana handed over 40 pairs of Judo dress worth Rs 80,000 to Multipurpose Martial Arts Centre (MMAC)´s management committee member Laxmi Ratna Tuladhar on Thursday amidst a function.



During the function held at the MMAC hall, Nayabazar, Tuladhar felicitated the 11th South Asian Games bronze medalist Deepak Krishna Shrestha, who is also the judo coach of MMAC. [break]



Deepak received a letter of appreciation and Rs 5,000. Judo, kendo teams of MMAC and the aikido team of Nepal Army demonstrated their skills before foreign dignitaries.
