KATHMANDU, Dec 24 : Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono will pay an official visit to Nepal in the second week of January, diplomatic sources said on Monday.
Kono will be visiting Nepal from January 9 to 10 at the invitation of his counterpart Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, according to sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Foreign Minister Rana visiting China ahead of PM’s visit
Leading a delegation, the Japanese Foreign Minister will come to Nepal after participating in the Raisina Dialogue, the flagship geo-political and geo-economic conference in New Delhi.
During the visit, Kono will hold bilateral talks with his counterpart Gyawali and call on top dignitaries including President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli among others.
Earlier last month, Foreign Minister Gyawali had visited to Japan at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart.
