Japanese coach support to badminton

KATHMANDU, Jan 1: TsugioYamamoto, a badminton coach from Japan, on Friday handed over Japanese yen 90,000 (approximately Rs 80,000) to contribution for development of badminton in the country.

]Yamamoto said that the amount was collected from himself and his friends. He gave away 50,000 yen to support a covered hall which is under construction in Bhojpur and 40,000 yen for training of national team.

Shuttler Bikash Shrestha, who hails from Bhojpur, received the amount for construction of the covered hall while Ramji Bahadur Shrestha, general secretary of Nepal Badminton Association, received the remaining amount to buy shuttlecocks for the players in the closed camp.
