Cabinet meeting finalizes Provincial capitals, chiefs

Left alliance agrees on 43 seats of NA


The joint task force of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) has agreed on the 43 seats out of 56 seats of the National Assembly (NA) allocation left alliance. The meeting held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, the meeting has agreed to decide on remaining seats on consensus with other parties within few days. According to CPN (MC) leader and one of the task force member Matrika Yadav , the task force has decided for 29 seats for CPN-UML whereas CPN(MC) will get 14 seats.

Free ambulance service for Rukum expectant mothers for delivery


To minimize maternal and infant deaths during child birth and promote safe delivery Aathbiskot municipality of Rukum has started to provide free ambulance service. Health institutions are not accessible easily to many rural parts of the district, and as a result, expectant mothers in many cases are forced to give birth at home risking their lives. 


Narayangadh – Muglin road to be closed for six hours at night


The Narayangadh-Muglin road section is to be closed for vehicular traffic for six hours at night from today. The road section was opened for traffic 24 hours in the last four days for the convenience of the people in view of the Maghe Sankranti festival. Road widening works are underway in the 34-kilometres of the road stretch.
