KATHMANDU, June 6: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Bhagbati Chaudhary, has urged Israel to take action for the release of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali youth detained by Hamas. During a meeting with Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Godar, on Thursday, Minister Chaudhary emphasized the strong bilateral ties between Nepal and Israel, which have been harmonious since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1960.
Minister Chaudhary praised Israel's advancements in the agricultural sector and requested Ambassador Godar's assistance in fostering agricultural development in Nepal. She expressed gratitude for Israel's support in various sectors, including scholarships, employment, and cooperation in agriculture and the cooperative sector.

Acknowledging the employment opportunities provided by Israel to Nepali youth, especially women, in the caregiver sector, Minister Chaudhary affirmed that Nepal-Israel relations will continue to strengthen through mutual support and cooperation.
Ambassador Godar, in response, expressed optimism about the prompt release of Bipin Joshi and mentioned plans to visit Joshi's family on Sunday.
