KATHMANDU, Oct 16: A group of Indians and Nepalese doctors have been arrested for taking an amount of Rs 1, 600,000 each by providing enhanced equipment to cheat during the entrance examination of Institute of Medicine’s bachelor program. 16 persons are arrested too.



The involved Indian doctors in the scam are Saurabh Kumar and Subesh Dev while Nepalese doctors Sailesh Kumar Jha, Aashutosh Kumar Jha and Nawaraj Niraula Gautam also shared the spoils.



The owner of a consultancy in India, Saurabh Kumar would send students to Nepal and Subesh Dev would arrange the scam in Nepal.



The Nepal based consultancy owners; Nawaraj Niraula Gautam along with the other two Nepali citizens would leak the question papers. According to Metropolitan Police Crime Division Kathmandu, they were also providing some modern equipment to enhance the cheat scam.



It is also observed that they have been taking a million Indian currencies from Indian students for making them excel the entrance examination while Rs 500, 000 from Nepali students.
