Int'l Child Rights Day being marked

NEPALGUNJ, Nov 21: Banke UNESCO Club on Monday organized various competitions including children’s art, quiz contest, essay writing and sports in different VDCs of Banke district as well as Nepalgunj Municipality on the occasion of the International Child Rights Day.



According to Chairman of the Club Parvej Ali Siddiqui, the Club with the cooperation from Save the Children organized essay, art competitions and hot-potato game among students of four Madrassa and nine schools of Matehiya and Gangapur VDCs, and prizes were also distributed to the winners of the competitions. [break]



The Club under ´Organizational mainstreaming for quality education programme´ also organized art, essay and Natiya game competition in Nepalgunj Municipality and Indrapur VDC where Barkaita Madarsatul Banam, Madrassa Makasudiya Garib Nawaj and Madarsa Gulsane Madina stood first, second and third respectively.



Similarly, quiz competition was also organized among the clubs associated with the Banke UNESCO under Urban Child Centered Education Program.



Program Coordinator Imran Ansari, working committee member of the Club Kayum Halwai and Chief of the Office Sunil Chaudhary handed over the prizes and certificates to the winning students, Madrassas and schools.
