Sautha Higher Secondary School thrashed Dreamland English Medium High School 19 goals to nil. Prem Tamang and Firoz Tamang scored 6 goals each while Santosh added 5 goals and Shambhu Shrestha and Raj Kumar Rai added one goal each for the winning side.
In another match played at Dasharath Stadium, Janak Boarding School outplayed Thekraj High School by eight goals to two. Aman Kumar Majhi scored 4 goals and Roshan Chaudhari added two goals for Janak Boarding School while Roshan Kumar Majhi and Tek Narayan Chaudhari added one each.
In the third match of the day, Gandaki Awasiya Boarding School thrashed Siddhartha Boarding School by eight goals to nil. In one sided match, Kapil Ale Magar scored 4 goals, Avinash Thakali scored 2 and Uttam Sunuwar and Karan Gurung added one goal each to the teams tally.
Likewise, in the fourth match, Radhika High School defeated Shanti Nikunja Boarding School five goals to three. Rajkumar Chaudhary scored two goals and Bhakta Bhandari and Ranjit Dhital added one goal each while Midhir Rana scored in his own post. For Shanti Nikunja Boarding School, Kshitiz Sen scored two goals and Krashan Prajapati added one.
National ITF in Tansen
KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Nepal International Taekwondo Federation (NITF) Western Regional Committee is organizing the Second Manamohan Memorial National ITF Taekwondo Championship on September 15 and 16 in Tansen, Palpa.
In total, 180 players (125 men and 55 women) from seven teams including five regional, army and host team will compete in the event, informed the organizers at a press meet in the capital on Tuesday.
The players will compete in four events -- single sparing, single pattern, group sparing and group pattern. It is expected that a total of Rs 700,000 would be spent on the event.
