World Heritage Day 2018: India home to 36 sites

With the addition of the historic city of Ahmedabad to UNESCO’s list of the World Heritage Sites last year, India is now home to 36 such sites, and as many as 46 more Indian sites, including the terracotta temples at Bishnupur in West Bengal and the Mattanchery Palace in Kochi, Kerala, are likely to make it to the world heritage site list.
