Chairman of the Federation Raj Kumar Lekhi said the sit-in was organized to put pressure for fixing the jurisdiction of the state restructuring recommendation committee to ensure the meaningful participation of women, minority, marginalized and backward classes.
He stressed on the need for the CA members to violate the whip as various political parties can conspire by issuing a whip to indigenous CA members while deciding on the state restructuring, and added his Federation had solidarity to the pressure program started by the Women’s Campaign for Peace and Constitution.
There are 500 participants in the sit-in program.
