Like previous Indicas, Vista is also offered both in petrol and diesel models and in five variants priced between Rs 1.67 million and Rs 2.195 million.
The petrol variant features a 1,172 cc four-cylinder engine, marketed as Safire, which delivers a maximum power of 65 PS at 5,500 rpm while the torque peaks at 96 Nm at 3,000 rpm with fuel delivered through a multi point fuel injection system. The diesel Vista has a 1,248 Quadrajet SDE Common Rail Diesel engine, which turns out a maximum power of 75 PS at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 190 Nm at 1,750 rpm.
What catches the eye first, apart from the overall new style of the car, is the car´s high clearance. Vista´s ground clearance of 165 mm is one of the highest on a hatchback available here.
The new Indica is also a lot about space. Not only does it have a spacious interior, but also a large utility tray under the seat and a glove compartment that can hold much more than gloves: it is large enough to accommodate a laptop, Anup K Baral, who heads the Passenger Car Business Unit at Sipradi, told myrepublica.com.
Although a pretty small feature, the remote controlled two DIN CD system with a USB port to play songs from a pen drive plus should draw potential buyers. Other features that Baral likes to flaunt are the height-adjustable driver´s seat (available in its full option model) and tilt-adjustable steering. Even the Indica Vista´s basic model is offered with an air-conditioning system and hydraulic power steering.
The basic option of the car is the Terra, which is offered only in petrol at Rs 1.67 million.
Notable additional features in the second model--Aqua--are power windows on the front doors, light intensity adjustment for the instrument cluster, central locking, a tachometer and front fog lamps. The full option Aura has power windows in all doors, a rear wiper, a warning buzzer, external antenna, among others.
The petrol Aqua is offered at Rs 1.795 million, while the diesel model comes at Rs 1.995 million. Sipradi is offering the petrol Aura at Rs 1.98 million and the diesel Aura at Rs 2.195 million.
The cars are available in seven colors. According to Baral, the diesel Vista delivers a fuel efficiency of 15 kmpl in the city.
