Indian PM Modi welcomes PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, Aug 23:  Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba.

KATHMANDU, Aug 23:  Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba.


“I am happy to welcome Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of close and friendly neighbor Nepal.  I look forward to holding more extensive talks tomorrow,” Prime Minister Modi tweeted following an unofficial meeting with Deuba.

He also appealed to the Nepali community in India as well as the Indian industrialists and businesspersons to invest in Nepal during a reception organized at the Nepali Embassy in India today.


Minister for External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj had welcomed Deuba at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi this afternoon.


Leading a 48-member delegation, Prime Minster Deuba is on a five-day state visit to India at the cordial invitation of Indian Prime Minister Modi.
