Indian foreign secy visiting Nepal

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao is visiting Nepal next month to take up bilateral issues with Nepal and assess the progress made in the ongoing peace process.



Secretary Rao will arrive in Kathmandu on a three-day visit beginning January 18. [break]



She will hold meetings with the prime minister, foreign minister, other ministers and senior government officials during her stay in Nepal, according to the Prime Minister´s Office.



Rao will also hold meetings with chiefs of various political parties including Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.



This will be Rao´s third visit to Nepal since after she assumed office in 2009.
