Indian envoy Sood greeted with black flags

PALPA, March 22: UCPN (Maoist) cadres on Tuesday greeted Indian ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood with black flags during his visit to Gulmi despite their commitments to refrain from protests.



Palpa Maoist had earlier agreed with the local administration to refrain from protests.[break]



“The envoy’s visit was scheduled after the Maoist commitment. They had agreed not to protest the visit,” an official of District Administration Office said.



Sood had arrived Palpa to inspect various schools being constructed under aid of the Indian government.
