Indian envoy Rae calls on Khanal

KATHMANDU, Sept 26: Indian ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, on Thursday called on CPN-UML Chairman of Jhala Nath Khanal at his residence in Dallu.

During the meeting, the duo discussed on the upcoming elections of Constituent Assembly (CA) slated for November 19.



In the meeting, Chairman Khanal said that the country has now entered into the preparation for the elections adding that his party is fully prepared to file the nominations of its candidates as per schedule.



Thanking the Indian government for its continued support to Nepal’s development efforts and the technical support to the Election Commission, Khanal added that his party is still continuing its efforts to bring the dissenting forces onboard the election process.



On the occasion, India envoy Rae wished for a successful election in Nepal. He also vowed to make efforts for high level visits from India in due course.
