The project being undertaken at the DDC´s request and in consultation with the Government of Nepal, will be implemented as a Small Development Project under the India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Program, a press release from the embassy said.
The new infrastructure will enable the school to upgrade its capacity in keeping with educational standards and a growing number of students, the release added.
This is among two development projects in the Okhaldhunga district being undertaken by the Government of India in recent years, and is part of over 300 projects of different sizes currently being implemented under the India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Program in the sectors of education, health, community development and infrastructure, covering all districts of Nepal with an outlay of over NRs 24 billion.
