TAPLEJUNG, May 9: An Indian national died in the course of climbing Mt Kanchenjunga. Mt Kanchenjunga is 8,586 meters tall and is the world's third tallest mountain.

Fifty-two years old Narayanan Aiyer died at an altitude of 8,200 meters while ascending, according to the District Police Office. He was on the expedition from Pioneer Adventure Pvt Ltd. The agency’s Executive Director Nivesh karki said that a team has been deployed to airlift the body.
