Indian Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) didn’t allow any fuel tankers to enter Nepal on Sunday and situation on Monday is no different.
Chief District Officer Bed Prakash Lekhak said the Indian side refused the request to send petroleum-laden cargo vehicles.
“We are looking after the issue daily,” he said, “SSB has been refusing our repeated requests.”
Some 12 vehicles carrying vegetables and cements have entered Nepal till this afternoon.
Goods-laden trucks and containers are near the border entry point, while petroleum tankers and gas bullets have queued some four kilometers from the entry point.
Nepali officials say it will take two days for the tankers to enter Nepal even if India lifts blockade.
