India and Pakistan to face off in T20 World Cup today

KATHMANDU, June 9: Cricket fans are eagerly anticipating the clash between two of the most renowned rivals in the history of the sport, India and Pakistan, as they compete in the ICC T20 World Cup today.

As part of Group 'A', India and Pakistan will face each other in a much-anticipated match scheduled to start at 8:15 PM (Nepali time) at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.

The excitement is palpable among fans of both nations, who are eager to see India's captain Rohit Sharma and Pakistan's captain Babar Azam lead their teams. However, there is uncertainty about Sharma’s participation due to an arm injury he sustained in a match against Ireland.

In the ongoing tournament, India has secured a victory in one match, while Pakistan experienced a narrow loss to the USA in a Super Over. Both teams will be determined to secure a win in today's encounter.

Historically, India and Pakistan have faced each other 12 times in T20 internationals. India has emerged victorious in eight of these matches, while Pakistan has won three, with one match ending in a tie.

In matches played at neutral venues, India has dominated as well, winning six out of nine encounters. Pakistan has won two, and one match ended in a bowl-out after a tie.
