People in the settlement along the Bhotekoshi River are panicked as the water level in the river has started rising. Police have alarmed locals up to Bahrabise to adopt precautions.
“It has been raining continuously in Tatopani,” Police Inspector Manuj Mukarung at the Area Police Office, Bahrabise said, “We, are ready to escape to avert possible danger.”
There is no presence of security agency and locals in Tatopani after the April 25 earthquake devastated the border town.
Numerous dry landslides hit the region after the quake. Locals said possibilities of landslides in quake-torn hills have further increased following rainfall.
