KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Sakela Udhauli festival is being celebrated at Tudikhel in the capital today with much fanfare.
Kirant men and women clad in traditional attire are observing the festival by beating drums, cymbals and imitating the activities of birds and other animals and exchanging greetings with each other.
This festival is observed wishing for a good harvest by worshiping the soil and nature. People belonging to Rai, Limbu, Sunuwar and Yakhya ethnicities observe this festival.
