I'm a cricket buff: Dr Bhattarai

BIRGUNJ, March 8: Maoist Vice-chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai on Tuesday said he is a cricket buff. “I used to play cricket when I was in Chandigarh of India,” Dr Bhattarai said at the Simara Airport while heading for Maulapur, Rauathat where he will attend his party´s program.



Dr Bhattarai also added that he had been watching World Cup matches as far as possible. [break]



“I like Sachin Tendulkar and Shahid Afridi,” he said. He also added that he enjoyed watching Ireland defeat England. “It was the best match so far,” he said.



“The century scored by Irish player (Kevin O´Brien) was excellent.” Ireland defeated England by three wickets chasing 327 runs in the match.
