According to the organizers, the festival will feature a total of 30 stalls exhibiting varieties of cuisines, agro products, goods produced by women entrepreneurs, handicraft products, and flowers, among others. Similarly, there will be stalls to promote culture and tradition of different ethnic and indigenous groups living in Ilam.
“We are spending around Rs 650,000 to organize the festival,” Sushila Sapkota, president of ICCI, said.[break]
Addressing a press meet here on Sunday, Sapkota said they are expecting around 35,000 visitors, including foreign tourists, and transaction of around Rs 6 million.
Various entertaining events like street dramas, talent show of children, healthy child competition, and bingo, among others will be organized on the sidelines of the event.
ICCI has been organizing street festival in Ilam since last year.
"As the festival is being organized on the occasion of New Year 2070 BS, we are expecting huge crowd this year," added Sapkota.
