KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the current government will last till the next general elections if he is elected as Nepali Congress (NC)’s president from the party’s 14th General Convention.
Speaking at a program organized to exchange congratulations and best wishes to the delegates of the 14th General Convention of the NC being held in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Deuba said that the current government would last till the national election if he is elected as the president of the party.
Prime Minister Deuba said that he needs to win the post of party president as some people are talking about morality in the case of losing the election. “People will raise the question of how I can be Prime Minister if I lose the election of the party's presidency. Thus, winning the election is a must,” he said. He also said that he had succeeded in becoming the Prime Minister by removing KP Sharma Oli and that he would form a government from the local level to the central level with all the parties as soon as he won the party presidency.
Similarly, he also expressed his commitment to fulfill the demands of all and to make the party of all and not of any individual, if he wins the election.
