ICC releases WCL Div 4 fixtures

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released the fixtures and the squad list for the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League (WCL) Division 4, to be held from September 3 to 10 in Malaysia.



Nepal, Denmark, USA, Singapore, Tanzania and host Malaysia are competing in the Division 4 league that will take place in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.[break]



According to the fixtures, Nepal will play Singapore on the opening day of the event at Selangor Turf Club. The very next day, Nepal will face Tanzania at Bayuemas Oval. On September 6, Nepal meets Malaysia at Selangor Turf Club. Nepal will meet USA on September 8 at Kinrara Oval and on the same venue Nepal will play its last match against Denmark on September 9.



The top two teams of the tournament will gain promotion to the Pepsi ICC WCL Division 3 which will be held next year in Bermuda from April 28 to May 5 2013.

3 September - Tanzania v Denmark (Kinrara Oval), Nepal v Singapore (Selangor Turf Club), Malaysia v USA (Bayuemas Oval)
4 September - Malaysia v Singapore (Kinrara Oval), USA v Denmark (Selangor Turf Club), Tanzania v Nepal (Bayuemas Oval)
6 September - USA v Tanzania (Kinrara Oval), Malaysia v Nepal (Selangor Turf Club), Denmark v Singapore (Bayuemas Oval)
7 September - Nepal v USA (Kinrara Oval), Singapore v Tanzania (Selangor Turf Club), Malaysia v Denmark (Bayuemas Oval)
9 September - Denmark v Nepal (Kinrara Oval), Malaysia v Tanzania (Selangor Turf Club), Singapore v USA (Bayuemas Oval)
10 September - Final (Kinrara Oval), 3rd/4th Play-off (Selangor Turf Club), 5th/6th Play-off (Bayuemas Oval)
