Paudel also said that it is his duty to give a new direction to the country as the head of state. He added that it is necessary to protect the constitution and the federal democratic republic and promote an inclusive democratic system.
He emphasized on the need for contemporary reforms while making the inclusive democratic system sustainable. President-elect Paudel said that the country needs political stability and promised to turn the people's despair into hope.
“The country cannot afford new experiments time and time again and Nepal does not have that capacity. A nation needs time to accelerate progress after adopting a new system. Political stability is needed. We need an opportunity to build a nation by protecting the people’s democratic rights. Expressing my respect and devotion to all the leaders who sacrificed their lives for democracy,” he said, “I will do my best to make their dreams come true. Right now, the people seem to be disappointed. By dispelling the disappointment of the people, by conveying hope and enthusiasm, by bringing a new awakening to all democracy lovers, the country should take the path of progress. The country needs good governance. I want to draw everyone's attention to the issue of good governance by analyzing the socio-economic and political nature.”
