CHITWAN, Sept 11: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala has said that he will not withdraw his candidacy for the post of president of the party.
Talking to reporters on Saturday, he said that he would be the party's presidential candidate at the 14th General Convention. “Who said I would back down? I’m just getting started,” said General Secretary Koirala.

According to him, there is an obligation to amend the schedule of the NC’s convention in the districts as the active membership dispute is still ongoing in 21-22 districts and the schedule has been amended to resolve the dispute.
He informed Republica that the dispute will be resolved soon.
