Hyundai donates Rs 30m to quake victims

KATHMANDU, May 12: Korean automotive manufacturer Hyundai has donated Rs 30 million to the victims of the recent earthquake.  

Hyundai handed over the amount meant for the quake victims through the Nepal Red Cross Society on Monday.


Asia and Pacific Regional Headquarters Director Park Sang-min remarked the company had been supporting places around the world as a part of the corporate social responsibility.  

He further said the company will provide discount for repair of Hyundai vehicles damaged by the quake.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha of Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles for Nepal, said they distributed relief three days after the deadly temblor.

He added they have already provided relief materials to over 1,500 families.
