KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Hyundai Motor Company has announced that the highly anticipated Creta EV will be launched in Nepal by the end of February 2025. The company is gearing up for an exclusive event to interact with media representatives and stakeholders, further fueling excitement around this groundbreaking electric vehicle.
According to a press release issued by the company, the Creta EV promises to be a game-changer in Nepal’s automotive market, offering a combination of sustainability, performance, and advanced features. With a focus on Nepal’s unique terrain and driving conditions, the Creta EV offers two battery options: a 42kWh battery pack with a range of approximately 300–330 km for the introductory variant and a 52kWh “Long Range” variant with a real-world range of 390–420 km.

The Creta EV has battery efficiency of 8 km/kWh, ensuring cost-effective driving for Nepali consumers. Additionally, the vehicle’s 200mm ground clearance and high torque delivery make it ideal for both urban and rugged rural roads, while its regenerative braking system optimizes energy recovery, especially in Nepal’s hilly regions, the press release stated.
Hyundai’s commitment to safety is evident in the inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a battery heating system designed for Nepal’s cold weather conditions. The Creta EV also offers fast and convenient charging with 11kW AC home charging capability, taking only four hours to charge fully, along with access to a growing fast-charging network across highways and urban centers.
According to the company, Hyundai’s Creta EV boasts nearly 70 percent localized manufacturing in India, making it an affordable yet eco-friendly option for Nepali consumers as part of its dedication to sustainable mobility. With a focus on features such as ventilated seats, a sunroof, and advanced infotainment, the Creta EV is designed to meet the diverse needs of Nepali drivers.
