Growth Sellers has been organizing the HR Meet every year since 2008 and giving away the award to outstanding HR managers annually.
Fifth edition of HR Meet was organized with the theme ´Shifting Paradigm of HR´. Mohan Ojha, chairman of Growth Sellers, said in last four years the HR trend has changed a lot with more organizations establishing a separate HR department. [break]
“Human capital is to be prioritized to create best environment in the organization,” Ojha said, adding that there are around 400 organizations in Nepal having a separate HR department. “It was limited to 15-20 in 2008, when we organized the first edition of HR,” he said. ´The Meet has been useful to evaluate global trends in HR in local context.
More than 200 participants from Nepal and overseas attended a daylong workshop. Major resource person for the event were Mark Disney, chief operation officer of LCCI Asia, Sushail Gupta from Ideas management Consultants, India, Sohan Babu Khatri, CEO of 3H management, and Joseph B. Niroula, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), HR practitioner from Nepal and others.
The workshop had sessions on lateral thinking and six thinking hats besides coaching for peak performance and others. Participants in the workshop represented mainly financial institutions, NGOs and corporate houses.
