Thirty-year-old Badri Maya Bishwakarma of local Mahuli, Bakdhuwa VDC Ward No. 7, was admitted to the Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital on Tuesday after suffering the acid attack at the hands of her husband. Krishna Bahadur Bishwakarma.[break]
The victim said that her 48-year-old husband poured acid into her private parts while she was sleeping at their house and then fled.
Local women had collected five thousand rupees and got Badri Maya admitted to the local Unique Hospital which again referred her to the Zonal Hospital.
Krishna Bahadur had married her 13 years ago after his first wife divorced him. They have an 11-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son.
A complaint has been filed at the Mahuli Police Post against the offender Krishna Bahadur and a search has been mounted for him, said the police.
