RAUTAHAT, June 27: Police have arrested a man nearly three years after allegedly murdering his wife in Rautahat district.
The suspect, identified as Fayyad Miya Mansuri of Ghiura Tole in Ishanath Municipality-4, was taken into custody by the District Police Office, Rautahat.

Mansuri is accused of killing his 20-year-old wife, Chandni Khatun, on February 9, 2022. Her body was found in a wheat field, with a shawl wrapped tightly around her neck and stuffed into her mouth, suggesting she had been strangled to death.
Following the incident, Mansuri had been on the lam. Authorities have now obtained permission from the Rautahat District Court to remand him in custody for further investigation under charges of homicide.
