KAILALI, Oct 19: A couple trapped on an island in the middle of a river due to floods in Kailali has been rescued on Monday.
According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Kailali, Prateek Bista, Man Bahadur Thapa and his wife Rebu Thapa of Balmi of Godavari Municipality-8 were rescued.
A team of police personnel from the Area Police Office Malakheti and Armed Police Force, 47 Battalion safely rescued Thapa couple trapped on the island in the middle of the flooded river.
