A press release issued today by HURPES General Secretary Uttam Pudasaini urged not pardon the guilty of Tikapur incident as rumor has spread that initiative was taken to give impunity to the guilty with formation of a new government.
The press release also asked not to make any political intervention into the incident as the case has already been finalized through judicial process.
The statement reads, "Those involved in criminal activities cannot be allowed walk freely even after winning any election."
The HURPES also drew the attention of the bodies concerned to make arrangement of legal provisions to make crime-free politics and criminal-free elected bodies, saying the intention of the parties making a person involved in a crime as a candidate in the election was not good.(RSS)
