Hotels, restaurants in Pokhara to shut down from today

KATHMANDU, Jan. 9: Hotels and restaurants in Pokhara city area are shutting down from Friday, Nepal television said. The shutdown became inevitable after Maoist-affliated workers stopped working demanding a salary increment in accordance with Labor Act . Hoteliers have asked tourists to vacate the hotels within 24 hours.
