Hot water and soil issues out from fissure in Gaur

RAUTHAT May 6: As people across the country are already in awe in the aftermath of the April 25 massive earthquake, the eruption of hot water and mud, with flames in Gaur Municipality-9 has further frightened locals in Gaur.

The eruption that took place at around 11:20 am today nearby the house of a local Acchelal Kushwaha was immediately doused by the locals. The eruption occurred following a fissure opened on the land.


Although, the eruption did not translate into a powerful volcano, it has been the talk of the town in Gaur.

No human causality is reported in the incident, the District Police office, Rautahat said. RSS
