With four-wicket haul from Eraj Shrestha, Thames defeated KMC by six wickets. [break]Being invited to bat first, KMC accumulated 84 runs losing all its wickets in 19 overs. Saurab Nepal (17) and Kshitiz Puri (14) were the only batsmen for KMC to reach double figure.
Baibhav Raj Joshi of Thames claimed two wickets while Khageshwor Bhatta and Ashis Man Singh pocketed one wicket apiece.
In its run chase defending champion Thames surpassed the target in 15.1 overs losing four wickets. Sagar Malla scored the highest 27 runs while Bibhav Raj Joshi (22) and Pratik Shrestha (11) contributed for the holder. Eraj Shrestha was declared man-of-the-match.
In another match, Universal registered seven wickets win over KCMIT. Electing to bat first, KCMIT garnered 111 runs losing all its wickets in 18.4 overs. Suprim Upadhyaya scored 22 runs, Saroj Karki 20 runs and Bikram Tiwari 18 runs for KCMIT.
Siddhartha Jung Karki, Prashant Raut and Kiran Nepali of Universal claimed two wickets apiece.
In its run chase, Universal made 114\\7 with one over to spare. Nabin Shrestha (26), Kiran Nepal (23) and Prajit Karmacharya (20) contributed for Universal. Ravi Shrestha and Pratic GC bagged 3 and 2 wickets respectively for KCMIT. Kiran Nepal of winning side was declared man-of-the-match.
Thames will play against DAV and Kathford will lock horns against Universal in the semifinal matches to be played on Friday.
