KATHMANDU, May 7: The House of Representatives (HoR) is going to hold pre-budget discussions for four days beginning today.
A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the HoR held at Singha Durbar on Sunday decided to hold the pre-budget discussions for four days.
Parliament starts discussions on Bill to amend some Nepal Acts
According to Nepali Congress MP Ishwari Devi Neupane, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat will present a proposal to discuss the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the financial year 2023/24 (except the tax proposal).
The parliamentarians will give their opinions on the proposal presented by the finance minister for five hours on Monday and Tuesday and two hours on Wednesday. The finance minister will respond to the MPs’ opinions on Wednesday itself. After that, the pre-budget discussions in the HoR will be over.
After the pre-budget discussions, the government's policies and programs will be presented in the next meeting.
