Honda Brio hits market

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Syakar Trading Company, the sole distributor of Honda cars, launched four variants of Honda Brio in the Nepali market on Thursday. The car with a capacity 1.2 liters and mileage of 18.4 km per liter is priced at a range of Rs 2.2 million to Rs 2.6 million.

The Brio provides comfortable mobility in a wide variety of driving situations, from careful maneuvering on narrow streets and in traffic jams to relaxed cruising on highways, reads a statement.



The Brio has safety features like dual SRS front airbags, Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) which prevents wheel locking, electronic brake distribution (EBD) which enhances braking performance, front pre-tensioner seat belts that pre-emotively tighten the belt to prevent the occupant from jerking forward in a crash and impact-mitigating headrests.



The front body structure of the Brio is equipped with pedestrian injury mitigation technology designed to absorb impact energy.



“We are very hopeful that this car will sale good in the market because it is a premium yet economic hatchback, specifically designed for the Asian market,” said Saurabh Jyoti, managing director of Jyoti Group, a parent company of Syakar Company.



Honda Brio is available in four variants - EMT, SMT, S (O) MT and VMT - and is priced Rs 2.2 million, Rs 2.22 million, Rs 2.5 million and Rs 2.6 million respectively.



Two variants, SMT and VMT, are available in the showroom and the other two models will be made available on demand.
