BHAKTAPUR, March 2 : Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has insisted that social enlightenment was necessary to realise the campaign for happy Nepali and a prosperous Nepal.
While inaugurating the fourth Nepali Lions Festival amidst a programme here today, the Home Minister highlighted the need of high-level social awareness in the post- political reformation in the country.
As he said, he found that Lions Club was encouraging youths to get involved in causes for prosperity, personality development and social welfare.
Charya Nritya: Dancing for enlightenment
The festival kicks off with a view to promoting the domestic tourism is participated by Lions members across the country and non-Lions people.
The art, culture and traditional dance and costumes typical of Bhaktapur have been presented while a car rally carrying the slogan of road safety has also been organised.
Around 60 stalls showcasing the cultural tableaus, dance, traditional pottery, handloom and crafts as well as community cuisine including yoghurt have been kept. Famous singers are presenting songs. Competitive games and entertainment programmes are also presented. RSS
