Home Minister Thapa eulogizes late Madan Bhandari and Jivraj Ashrit

KATHMANDU, May 17: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said the then general secretary of the CPN (UML) Madan Bhandari and chief of the party organization department, Jivraj Ashrit, had played a significant role in taking the communist movement in the country to a new height.

KATHMANDU, May 17: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said the then general secretary of the CPN (UML) Madan Bhandari and chief of the party organization department, Jivraj Ashrit, had played a significant role in taking the communist movement in the country to a new height.


Speaking in a programme commemorating the establishment day of the Nepal Communist Party and the Madan-Ashrit Memorial Day at Koteshwar here today, he said the ideological contribution of the late leaders Bhandari and Ashrit was unparalleled in the communist movement.

The programme was organised by the Madan Bhandari Memorial Park Conservation Committee. Also, the NCP leader, Home Minister Thapa said that although the enemies of the communist movement hatched conspiracy to stop the two communist leaders' success, their scheming boomeranged and the communist movement achieved outstanding success due to their sacrifice.


As he said, a stable government has been formed under the leadership of the communists in the country now with the establishment of the federal democratic republic mainly due to the contribution of the late Bhandari.


The Home Minister insisted that the incumbent government was working vigorously to fulfill the citizens' needs. The Madan-Ashrit Memorial Day is being observed in various places of the country today amidst the organisation of different programmes.  RSS
