KATHMANDU, March 22: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has urged India for collaboration in controlling mobility along Nepal-India border as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

During his meeting with the Ambassador of India to Nepal Vinaya Mohan Kwatra at his office on Sunday, Minister Thapa also stressed the need for joint efforts by the SAARC nations to defeat this global pandemic of COVID-19, according to a press release issued by the minister's secretariat.

On the occasion, Ambassador Kwatra told the minister that India is ready to join hands with Nepal in the fight against this epidemic. According to him, India will take the necessary decision on border management after consulting with Nepal’s Home Ministry. “Earlier, foreign ministers of both the countries had already held a discussion on the matter.”
