HLPC decides to ask govt to expedite constitution amendment for CA poll

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: While concludng that Mohan Baidya-led alliance was not committed to participate in the November poll, High Level Political Committee has decided to ask government to expedite amendment of the interim constitution.



A meeting of the HLPC held at its secretariat in New Baneshwar made a decision to this effect. The meeting took a decision after NC President Sushil Koirala and CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal briefed the meeting about the demands of Baidya-led alliance. [break]



Baidya-led alliance has demanded that the current government led by Khil Raj Regmi be dissolved, and fresh election date be decided by all-party political conference
